We went for our first boat ride of the season this afternoon!
What a day. Mild wind, blue skies and the whole lake to ourselves.
I only had my phone and that is my excuse for the quality of the shots.
We stopped on an island and just sat in the sun.

Wow what a day we have had! This is what spring is all about.
Popper (our dog) and I went to see if there were any sign of Crocuses poking their heads out. Nothing yet but it was a wonderful excuse for a walk.
It is so nice to see open water on the river… and the Geese, Ducks and Tundra Swans have returned.
The Bold Eagles have be cursing the river, watching for dinner to swim by.
Spring is always a busy time around the resort. The cooler March gave us a bit more time to get some inside projects done. Most of the spring cleaning is already done. We have been able to do some painting in the Chalets and installed new living room flooring in #7. Now that the temperatures are rising we can get out and tackle the yard. We will be looking for any excuse to be outside.
We still have openings for the May Long Weekend and Summer Weeks.

Trails are open!
We have waited for the snow to come and Mother Nature and the Parks department come through!! The snowmobile trails were open for the February long weekend.
Parks people were working on the Inverness Falls ski trails early in the season and guests have been skiing most of the winter.
Like to send our thanks to Trail Maintenance Crews in the Whiteshell Park for your efforts, this season, with less then ideal conditions.
It's Manitoba!...... so no idea how long good conditions will continue but with the cooler temperature the weather people have been promising, we are hopeful for at least 3 weekends of good trails.
We have a couple of openings this weekend and still some availability March 6th and 11th weekends.
Mid-Week openings throughout, at nice savings.
