How difference from a cold morning; to this moning
Amazing how these little guys can puff up to keep warm!
The warmer temperature this morning offered some weak spots in the river for the Otter to pock through. It first came up quite far down river. Through the telescope, we could see it was enjoying a fish breakfast. 15 minutes later it popped out a little closer to us. It rolled and played in the snow for a few minutes before disappearing back down the hole.
Hope you all had a chance to get out and enjoy this beautiful day!!
Stu and I headed across the lake to pack down the trail to War Eagle Lake.
We have some maintenance to do at the cabin and having the trail packed makes it easier to hall in supplies.
Covid regulations hampered us from host guest at War Eagle the past few years and due to the fire ban last summer, Stu and I were not able to go at all. Krista and Ken got permission from Parks in July for an overnight to check everything at the cabin. We are looking forward to having some time in February and March to get to War Eagle Lake; and do a few projects.
We are not accepting reservation yet for this summer. Lets hope for lots and lots of moisture this spring!
What a great day!
