The Water Lilies are blooming.... almost iridescent in the afternoon sun
It's an amazing time to visit the Whiteshell!!
If we read our plant guide correctly, this is a wild onion.... just one petal created quite a strong onion taste. (Stu and I are both still here this morning so I am confident it was a Wild Onion)
But the really wonderful discovery was that, in that patch of at least 40 plants, almost every Wild Onion had a bee in attendance.
Last night Stu and I headed up the trail in search of blueberries.
A perfect night to be in the forest, a nice temperature and the Sun popping through the trees.
We found a few patches of berries . It never ceases to amaze me how the blueberries in every patch have their own unique taste.
We got back to the resort in time to head out onto the lake to catch the sunset!
A PERFECT evening
