Multi-Unit & Large Group Bookings (Groups of 4 or More)

Inverness Falls Resort is happy to welcome multi-unit and large group bookings for family reunions, corporate retreats, and friend getaways. Although we do not have a large meeting space, our chalets are quite spacious for a family meal or smaller group meeting, and the grounds offer ample space for outdoor gatherings. To ensure we can accommodate your large party successfully, the following measures apply:

  • Accommodations: Inverness Falls Resort can host groups of up to 29 guests. To ensure your party can easily spend time together, we accommodate groups by placing them in neighbouring, similar units. Visit our group booking page to plan your gathering.

  • Initial Deposit: A 50% deposit is required at the time the reservation is placed.

  • Booking Changes: Any changes to the reservation are subject to a $100 service charge per unit.

  • Final Payment: The remaining balance is due 60 days prior to your arrival date. Please note that from this date forward, there are no options for refunds or cancellations.

Our property and facilities are maintained for the exclusive enjoyment of our Registered Guests.

  • No Weekend Visitors: Please do not invite guests to visit on weekends (Friday, Saturday, Sunday, or Monday of long weekends).

  • Mid-Week Visits: To ensure a quiet environment, the following rules apply for mid-week visitors:

  • Limit: Only two guests are permitted to visit at any one time.

  • Conduct: You will be responsible for the conduct of your guests.

  • Pets: Visitors are not permitted to bring pets onto resort property.

  • Overnights: Under no circumstances may visitors stay overnight.

Drinking Water Notice

Our tap water is chlorinated, filtered, and tested; however, due to government classification changes, they now ask us to offer this information to our guests:

TAP WATER NOTICE: Please be advised that our tap water comes directly from the lake with minimal treatment. For your safety, do not use tap water for consumptive purposes, including:

  • Drinking water, making infant formula, or juice.
  • Making ice cubes.
  • Cooking or washing fruits and vegetables.
  • Brushing teeth or soaking dentures.

Provisions: One three-gallon container of Commercially Bottled Water is provided in your unit upon arrival. Additional bottles are available for purchase at cost in the office (a deposit on the bottle is required). Guests are also welcome to bring their own water or fill containers for free at the government pump at the other end of the lake.

Weather & Storm Policy

Inverness Falls Resort cannot accept responsibility for adverse weather conditions.

  • Travel Safety: Check-in is at 4:00 pm. If storm conditions are pending, please leave early enough to ensure you arrive safely near 4:00 pm.

  • Highway Closures: If the Highways Department closes Highway #15 and #44 (East of Winnipeg) or Highway #1 (from Ontario to #44) prior to 4:00 pm on your arrival day, we will offer a credit in the amount of your deposit to be used within the same winter season.

Fire Safety & Responsible Burning

At Inverness Falls Resort, the safety of our guests, our property, and the surrounding Whiteshell Provincial Park is our highest priority. Given the increasing frequency of wildfire activity in Manitoba, we require all guests to be vigilant and strictly adhere to the following fire safety policies.

Fire Restrictions

  • Rapid Changes: Fire conditions in the Whiteshell can change quickly; guests are responsible for checking current restrictions before lighting any fire.

  • Alert Levels: We monitor Manitoba Parks and the Manitoba Wildfire Service daily. If a “Level 1” or “Level 2” restriction is implemented, campfire hours may be restricted or banned.

  • Total Burn Bans: During extreme conditions, no fires of any kind are permitted, including campfires in approved pits and wood-burning fireplaces inside cabins.

  • Enforcement: Failure to comply with provincial fire bans can result in significant fines from Manitoba Parks and immediate eviction from the resort without a refund.

Outdoor Campfire Safety

  • Approved Pits Only: Fires are only permitted in the designated metal fire pits provided by the resort. Never move a fire pit or build a new one.

  • Size Management: Keep your fire small and manageable. High flames increase the risk of sparks and embers jumping into nearby brush.

  • Constant Supervision: A fire must be attended by an adult at all times. If you are leaving the area or going to bed, the fire must be fully extinguished.

  • Proper Extinguishing: Douse the fire with plenty of water, stir the ashes, and douse again. The pit should be cool to the touch before it is considered safe.

  • Burning Materials: Only burn clean, dry firewood. Never burn trash, plastic, or large branches from the forest floor, as these create unpredictable sparks.

Indoor Fireplace Safety

  • Seasonal Operation: Indoor fireplaces are operational during the Spring, Fall, and Winter seasons only.

  • Safety Screens: Always keep the fireplace screen or doors closed while a fire is burning to prevent embers from escaping onto the floor.

  • Professional Maintenance: Never attempt to clean out your own fireplace. Our staff handles ash removal to ensure coals are properly cooled and disposed of safely.
