Pet Friendly Cabin Rentals in Whiteshell Provincial Park

Pet-Friendly Stays: Adventures For You And Your Dog

At Inverness Falls Resort, we are pet owners too, and we know that for many of our guests, a vacation isn’t complete without their dog. That’s why we’ve gone beyond just allowing pets; we’ve created an environment where they can enjoy the Whiteshell just as much as you do.

Your Dog’s Private Oasis: Canine Cove

Manitoba Parks’ Pet Rules prohibit dogs from being at the public beach, and so we established Canine Cove, right across from Lakeview Cabins 6 and 7. Canine Cove is a dedicated area where your dog can splash, swim, and play in the water while you relax in the sun nearby. It’s the perfect spot for a game of fetch or a cooling dip after a long hike.

Accommodations for You and Your Pet

To ensure a comfortable stay for all guests (including those with allergies), we offer specific Pet-Welcome Units. These units are carefully maintained to ensure they are clean and welcoming for every arrival.

Lakeview Suites 6 & 7

Perfect for a couple or solo traveller and one pet, and easy access to Canine Cove.

Private Chalet 9

Our most flexible pet option, which can accommodate up to two pets (from the same home) and 1-5 people.

Private Chalet 10

A spacious chalet that welcomes one pet and up to five people.

The Inverness Experience

On the Water

In addition to Canine Cove, your buddy is welcome to accompany you at the docks and sitting deck. If your dog is comfortable, you are welcome to invite them along in the canoes, pedal boats, and row boats, or you can rent our boat.

On the Trails

The Trans Canada Trail passes right by our Resort, perfect for hikes or bike rides with your dog. We have mountain bikes available for guests to borrow, allowing you to explore these scenic paths and the Inverness Falls Trails at your own pace with your best pal trotting alongside. An extra plus: a game trail takes off from the Chalet road and follows the river to the Amisk Hiking Trail.

The Bonfire Area

The Resort Bonfire pits are on both sides of the stream, offering a quiet, peaceful space to enjoy a fire. This dedicated space is designed for the timeless tradition of the evening campfire; a perfect place to gather under the Whiteshell stars and share stories after a day of adventure, with your dog curled up comfortably by your side.

Explore the Whiteshell

Beyond the Resort, Whiteshell Provincial Park is a vast natural playground waiting to be discovered. We encourage you to venture out with your pet to nearby gems like Rainbow Falls, Pine Point Hiking Trail, and Cabin Lake Hiking Trail. For a full list of local sights and seasonal activities, be sure to visit our Things to Do page to plan your Manitoba adventure.

Planning Your Visit

To keep our resort beautiful and enjoyable for everyone, we have a few simple guidelines for our pet-owning guests:

  • Pet Fee: Bring your dog along for an additional $50. Please ensure you make arrangements for your pet at the time of your reservation.

  • Leash Policy: For the safety of the local wildlife and other guests, please keep your pet on a leash while on the resort grounds.

  • Unattended Pets: To ensure your dog feels safe and our cabins remain in top shape, please do not leave your pets unattended in the units.

  • Furniture & Bedding: We ask that pets stay off the furniture and beds. If your dog is a couch potato at home, please bring your own furniture covers and bedding.

We can’t wait to meet you and your pet. If you have questions about which unit is best for your specific dog, give us a call! For a full list of our pet regulations, please see our Guest Policy Page.
