We were out on the lake last evening and we were treated to an special wildlife moment.
First, we spotted a loon to the left of us, and then a minute later, one to the right, quite a distance apart. All of a sudden they both dove under and amazingly came up within inches of each other, covering the expanse between them in seconds.
We watched for a good 10 minutes as they circled each other, came close, then would dive…enjoying the companionship.
We felt like we were intruding on their moment of intimacy. Then one of them flew off. The other swim for a bit, and then flew off in the same direction.
