 Beautiful blue ski and lots of sunshine. Everyone out enjoying the afternoon

This is the time of year Stu halls in supples needed for the comming season at War Eagle Lake. Last weekend nephews gave Stu a hand taking in a new wood stove to heat the log cabin and a motor for the boat we are taking in later this month.       

Brilliant blue ski, sparkling hoarfrost popping on the trees. (Doesn’t the beach look different in white.)  

We got a wonderful dump of snow this weekend; nice temperatures and great guests… perfect weekend. The trails are all covered with a fresh coat of white.

Today is what winter is all about; crisp clean air, blue skies and the sun dancing shadows through the trees. Wishing you all a Great day

Stu and I took Cal, (a guest who has joined us for many years during the winter season), for a ride this afternoon. Sheltered from the wind, the River Trail offered a peaceful walk this morning. I love that there are so many young evergreens all along the trail.

  The lake has been busy.  Lots of ice fishing and snowmobiling…. great Weekend!  

Hope you all had a wonderful Christmas Day.  It’s a great time  of year for Bird Watching in the Whiteshell Park. This Great Grey we saw on a drive up #307 on the 23rd. Our feeders at the Cottages are very busy.
