Wildlife sighting of the week
Sharon and David, during their November stay in Chalet #10, had a visit from the Flying Squirrel. The Flying Squirrel is spotted quite often by guests staying in the Chalets. Great shot Sharon!
OUR LAKE FROZE NOVEMBER 10TH
Just over two weeks and we have about 6 inches of ice already. With the colder temperatures and not too much snow yet, we understand, the bogs are freezing well. This means as soon as the snow comes the groomers will be able to get the trails ready!
Busy at the Feeders
We have started our bird feeding progam for the winter season. A highlight in the day is watching the action at the feeders. Very excited to have the Grosbeaks back. And always patient, this Grey Jay waits it’s turn. Beautiful day in the Park.
Very Busy on the River!!
It’s very busy on the river right now. In less then an hour the other morning we saw a Mink, an Otter, and a Marten with a Muskrat. And while all this is happening the Gray Jay flew in to see if I had any treats for her.
Nice close to the Fall season
It was a nice weekend. Overcast but pleasant temperatures. Popper and I headed out onto the Trans-Canada Trail for a bit on Saturday. It was a good morning on the river
Two Otter swam by but I was not quick enough to get their picture; though I did have lots of time to take some of the Swan who was enjoying a lazy swim down river.
